Listening Ears will be celebrating Black History Month with elderly people in the community from a range of ethnicities and backgrounds in a day of music, historical presentations, intergenerational activities and dance. We will be joined by young women at our youth project, Rosebud Centre for Girls, who will deliver live music and presentations on role models from the Black British community, the USA, Africa and the Caribbean. Our event will run from 12noon – 4pm. Do join us! Entry is free but donations are welcome.
Listening Ears presents: Steps 2 Living, a 12 week health lifestyle program. Within a period of twelve weeks, Listening Ears intends to provide you with comprehensive information and enlightenment on how you can Eat, Cook and Live healthily. We will also support you to identify the Barriers that have prevented you for so long to eat and live healthily as a way of life. Holding your hands, we will support you to set achievable goals and take small steps at a time to achieve those goals. We will cap every week with The Zumba Dance sessions, which is a very practical, yet exciting way to work out and burn off all the unhealthy fat in your system.
FREE Zumba Dance Classes for all! In pursuance of our commitment to support members of our community to achieve improved health and total wellbeing, we are delighted to present Zumba Dance Classes. The dance sessions are an interesting way to keep fit, achieve and maintain a healthy weight while having fun at the same time. The sessions are on Fridays. The sessions are on Wednesdays between 4.30pm and 6.00pm Participation is free but Registration is mandatory.

Listening Ears is pleased to announce the launch of the Rosebud project designed to provide support for teenage girls cutting across a range of interest areas including fitness, creative arts workshop, confidence building, personal development, music, drama and homework support. Find out more
Our second drop in centre launches on Friday 9th April 2010. The new centre opens every Friday. Labelled Feel Good Fridays, it is a community health and well being project run in partnership with NHS Greenwich. Age Concern, Active For Health and Volunteer Center Greenwich also provide free services at the centre. The centre is open to residents of Flowers estate and it’s surroundings. Qualified health trainers are also present to give one-to-one sessions and health checks and support for health behaviour changes. Treat yourself to an afternoon session of FREE relexology, massage, manicure and more on every first Friday of the month.
