Listening Ears will be celebrating Black History Month with elderly people in the community from a range of ethnicities and backgrounds in a day of music, historical presentations, intergenerational activities and dance. We will be joined by young women at our youth project, Rosebud Centre for Girls, who will deliver live music and presentations on role models from the Black British community, the USA, Africa and the Caribbean. Our event will run from 12noon – 4pm. Do join us! Entry is free but donations are welcome.

Our second drop in centre launches on Friday 9th April 2010. The new centre opens every Friday. Labelled Feel Good Fridays, it is a community health and well being project run in partnership with NHS Greenwich. Age Concern, Active For Health and Volunteer Center Greenwich also provide free services at the centre. The centre is open to residents of Flowers estate and it’s surroundings. Qualified health trainers are also present to give one-to-one sessions and health checks and support for health behaviour changes. Treat yourself to an afternoon session of FREE relexology, massage, manicure and more on every first Friday of the month.
